Mission Statement:

 

Our mission is to partner with the Maijuna indigenous group of the Peruvian Amazon to design and implement community-based, sustainable development projects in a culturally sensitive and ethical manner to help improve their quality of life.

 

Project Objectives:

 

1. Work with the four Maijuna communities to build a water filter in each home and train every household on the use and maintenance of their filter.

 

2. Conduct sanitation and hygiene lessons with each Maijuna family that reinforce the proper use of the water filters as well as teach effective hand washing and tooth brushing techniques.

 

3. Research and prepare for future projects with a focus on waste management to be linked with the filter/hygiene project.
